Riah is living in Hollywood working hard at modeling. She is so amazingly beautiful, inside and out. I was so nervous to photograph her, but in the end we put each other to ease and had a blast. I also want to thank her mom for finding the RED COWBOY BOOTS!!!! Fabulous

Okay so I was so excited to get to take Taylor’s senior portraits. We have been family friends as long as I can remember. I was extra excited when I saw he brought all of his sports gear. We had a blast, I even got him to smile a couple of times. Thanks Tibbs for being you.

K’Dawn is a beautiful girl, who filled my camera with an amazing smile and light. I was in photography heaven while photographing her. We shot most of our session at Fort Bayard, which also happens to be photography heaven. Pretty girl, pretty light, and a wonderful setting….yes please!!!

Shai and her family hold a special place in my heart. This was one of those sessions were we just laugh and have a good time. Shai was up for anything. It was a great session. We even talked her mom and sister into jumping into a few images with her.

Will’s dad and I work together. For years I have had the privilege of being the employee that listens to the phone messages. My favorite messages come from Will.

Usually the go something like this. ”Dad, DAD, DAAAAAAAAAADDDD, Daddy, Daddy-O, Hey Dad, dadadada……Please call me!” , Sometimes they are funny and sometimes they our loud, sometimes they are quiet, but they always bring a smile to my face. BUT, my favorite, my all time favorite went like this. “BOOM CHICK A WOW WOW!!! boom chicka WOW WOW!!! BOOOOOOM CHICKA WOWWWWW WOWWW!!!!” click

So when Jim and Christy asked me if I would photograph Will, I knew it would be fun, and FUN it was. Will had ideas of his own, things he wanted to do and poses he wanted to show me. We laughed, and made funny voices, and basically had a great time. I LOVE my job, who else in the world gets to wind up kids and then give them back to their parents. (Well I guess grandparents get to do that, but that is for another post.)

PS. Parents, I love it when your kids act up, it means we are going to get great photographs.

So here is Will….BOOM CHICKA WOW WOW!!!

Daylene is one of my favorite models. She is also one of my best friends. She spent the summer working with me as my assistant. It was awesome. Now she is off to college, studying to be a doctor. She is not only beautiful on the outside but also on the inside.

I try to always have a camera with me and to document my family life. Sometimes I take pics with my cell phone, sometimes it is a point and shoot, and sometimes it is my pro camera. One of my goals is to start posting the weekly pictures on Sunday evening. So here is our first installment.

We had a crazy week, Bailey got his drivers liscense, Emmett and Tancee got shots, we put up a bunch of chili, and hopefully we will have the new roof on our house finished before midnight….no pic yet, but soon, Chad promises.

Sweet Emmy turned 2. I had the privilege of photographing her and her darling brother Luke, to celebrate her birthday. It was a crazy fun session. I can’t wait to get these cuties in front of my camera again. The first image of this set is one of my all time favorites. I hope you enjoy these sweet smiles as much as I enjoyed photographing them. I LUV MY JOB. More children, yes please.

The Baldwin family are quickly becoming some of my favorite customer’s, not to mention my favorite people. You see, Jeff and Katie work in construction, as do I, they have a spit fire one year old, as do I, and they love to decorate their home with portraits, AS DO I!!! So basically when we get together we have a lot to talk about. Not to mention the ranching background and heritage. I really enjoy them and the time I get to share with them photographing their family.
